BioKupo! If you're actually reading this, I applaud you. I'm also quite flattered. Let's get down to it, shall we?
My name is Corbet Butler. I'm a 19 year old college student attending Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa. I'm an Instrumental Music Education major. I play tuba, euphonium and string bass. I'm very involved with many organizations on and off campus such as: Residence Life, University Theatre, BVU Music Corp, Students Activities Board, 2Fix (the computer center on campus), Iowa Bandmasters Association, and many more.
I have two jobs on campus. My first job is being the Resident Advisor (RA) for Hershberger House in Pierce Hall. This is an all-male dorm, and my floor is all freshman. I have to say that being an RA in an all-male dorm has been the most interesting experience in my life to date. My second job is working as a computer technician at our computer center on campus, named 2Fix. This is a part-time job for me, but gives me a chance to broaden my horizons in the field of computer technology. I am currently working as a network technician on campus, and I feel that this will be quite the experience for me. Hooray for learning!
My dream job is to teach instrumental music in the state of Iowa. That's...pretty self-explanatory. I'd most definitely incorporate video game music into my musical repertoire. Anything that's been orchestrated will try and be inserted into my classroom. ^^
